Kendall, also one of Everton’s greatest players and winner of the 1969/70 League Championship, returned to Goodison for the first of three managerial stints in 1981.  During that time he led Everton to two league titles, an FA Cup and European Cup Winner’s Cup.

James Corbett said: “It’ll be very exciting sharing a stage with a man I grew up idolising and who made some of the history that I chronicled in my book.

]]>LFC Legends Help Launch Liverpool Blockbusterhttp://www.decoubertin.co.uk/home/2011/10/26/lfc-legends-help-launch-liverpool-blockbuster.htmlAdministrator2011-10-26T10:36:55ZLiverpool greats Tommy Smith and Ron Yeats helped launch Liverpool: The Complete Record at Waterstone's bookstore at a signing at the L1 shopping complex in downtown Liverpool on Saturday morning.  Droves of Liverpool fans came down to the store ahead of Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Norwich City to meet the pair and authors Arnie Baldursson and Gudmundur Magnusson.  Smith and Yeats signed autographs, posed for photographs and chatted with fans, who also received free limited edition prints courtesy of deCoubertin Books.

The signing came at the end of a busy week for the authors, who appeared across a range of local media publicising their work.  They conducted interviews with the Anfield Wrap podcast, LFCTV, Citytalk and the Billy Butler show. They also appeared across a range of BBC Radio Merseyside and City FM sports broadcasts.
On Friday, deCoubertin Books hosted a launch party at the famous Ship and Mitre pub on Dale Street.  It was well attended by local journalists, supporters clubs and fan media.

“We’ve just received some missing information on line-ups from Liverpool’s 1935 tour of the Canary Islands.

“We’ve tried to be helpful to others, we’re not in competition. We just want to have as accurate a portrayal of the club’s history as possible.”
