England: The Complete Record

'This book takes an in-depth and comprehensive look at the last 145 years of the national team, with every ounce of information and statistical analysis you could hope for.' The Malestrom adds England: The Complete Record to their Christmas wish list.

'Authors Philip Ross and Jack Gordon Brown have collaborated to produce the most comprehensive, up-to-date history of English international football.' Eric Brown of the Sports Journalists' Association on England: The Complete Record.

Toshack’s Way

Wales Online's Tom Coleman sat down with John to discuss Ryan Giggs's first year in charge, while they also published extracts from the book focusing on Craig Bellamy and Robbie Savage.

The Liverpool Echo's Dave Prentice spoke to John about how close he was to the Liverpool job, while James Pearce focused on the current manager Jurgen Klopp and John's role in Xabi Alonso's Liverpool move. John and James also discussed all things Liverpool on the Blood Red podcast.

The Press Association's interview with John was picked up by the Daily Mail, once again focusing on Ryan Giggs and Wales.

Ahead of John's signing at Wellfield Bookshop in Cardiff, deCoubertin's very own Megan Pollard discussed the importance of independent stores.

John also spent plenty of time on the airwaves, speaking to Steve Hothersall on Radio City Talk, James Mountford on BBC Radio Merseyside, and Jason Mohammad on BBC Radio Wales. BBC Cymru also reviewed Toshack’s Way.

Ticket to the Moon

Ahead of the second city derby on Sunday, The Birmingham Mail ran a number of extracts from Richard Sydenham's Ticket to the Moon, focusing on how Brian Little nearly made a move to Birmingham City, how Aston Villa wanted to sign Trevor Francis from the Blues, and an interview with former defender Noel Blake, who appeared for both clubs. Richard also went live on Facebook with chief sports writer Mat Kendrick.

The League paper ran a double page spread on Ron Saunders's time at Villa, focusing on Ticket to the Moon.
